How are SportsRecruits and NCSA related?
IMG Academy, the world’s leading sports education brand, is the parent company of both SportsRecruits and NCSA. The two operate as complementary services that together form a robust recruiting network
Coaches & families are encouraged to use both products to take advantage of both networks. By being on both platforms, student-athletes maximize their exposure to college coaches.
What is the difference between SportsRecruits and NCSA?
While SportsRecruits and NCSA are both recruiting platforms, each bring unique value to the process:
SportsRecruits is focused on building a user-friendly platform and a strong network. It is best for families who have experience with recruiting, are confident in driving their own process, or are farther along in their process.
NCSA is focused on personalized coaching and support. It is best suited for families who desire extra support and guidance from an experienced coach in the recruiting process.
What is the difference between EventBeacon and Coach Packet?
EventBeacon delivers all the same functionality that college coaches have come to rely on in Coach Packet, ensuring no disruption to their event experience. The key difference is that EventBeacon also provides student-athletes with next-day view notification digests. This gives student-athletes valuable insights into coach interest that can guide their recruiting decisions, and a layer of transparency that elevates the overall value of your event.
What is happening to Coach Packet?
All Coach Packet events will move to EventBeacon by the end of 2026. Your Event Partnership Specialist at SportsRecruits will guide you through the transition with resources, training, and hands-on support.
Will past Coach Packet events be accessible in Coach Packet?
Yes, past events that were hosted on Coach Packet will continue to be accessible to you via Coach Packet through 2026.
Is Coach Packet shutting down completely in January of 2026?
Coach Packet will still be accessible through 2026 for historical reference. However, Coach Packet will be sunsetted at the end of 2026.
Will future events be accessible in both apps?
As all of our partnerships are transitioned from Coach Packet to EventBeacon, future will be available exclusively in EventBeacon.
When will events start moving over to EventBeacon?
EventBeacon transitions are intentionally phased by sport, gender, and event type. Each sport has unique recruiting workflows, schedules, and data needs, so we will move events only after the EventBeacon experience is fully optimized for that environment. This allows us to maintain consistency, minimize disruption, and ensure coaches have everything they need to recruit at the point an event transitions to EventBeacon.
