Some coaches have both a phone and tablet that are compatible with EventBeacon and prefer to use both throughout the day. There are small differences to how you should manage that process depending on if one or both of your devices are operating in offline mode.

When you download an event in EventBeacon, the app will function in offline mode. Otherwise, your app will function in online mode as long as you are connected to a data or WIFI connection. If you are using EventBeacon on multiple devices throughout the day, here is what you need to know about how your data will sync between the two:

If Both Devices are Online (Connected to Data or WIFI)...

If both devices are online, all of your favorites, watchlist categorizations, notes, and evaluations will update in real time on both devices. Any updates you make in one will appear in the other. 

Note: if your data or wifi connection is weak, there may be a slight lag time for these updates to populate across devices.

If One Device is Online, One Device is Offline...

While working offline, favorites, watchlist categorizations, notes, and evaluations that you take are stored locally on your device until you reconnect to data or WIFI. 

While working online, your device is constantly searching for any changes or new data and updating your app accordingly.

After you've connected the offline device to WIFI or data, opened the EventBeacon app, and refreshed your download, any updates you made in one device will appear in the other.

If Both Devices are Offline...

While working offline, favorites, watchlist categorizations, notes, and evaluations that you take are stored locally on your device until you reconnect to data or WIFI. As soon as you are connected and open the EventBeacon app, all of this information will automatically sync to your account.

After you've connected to WIFI or data, opened the EventBeacon app, and refreshed your download on both devices, any updates you made in one device will appear in the other.
