We've done our best to maximize the performance & reliability of the EventBeacon app. Despite those efforts, you may occasionally encounter a glitch in your user experience. If that is the case, follow the steps below to resolve the issue. After each step, check your app to see if the issue was corrected. If not, move on to the next step! If you are looking for educational or information resources about how to use the EventBeacon App, check out the rest of our help desk.
(1) Send a Data Snapshot.
Ensure your device is connected to data or a WIFI network. Then follow these steps to send a snapshot of your app data to our engineering team and ensure no data is lost:
- Navigate to the list of events
- Tap the "Settings" icon in the top right corner
- Tap "Send Data Snapshot"
- Tap "Yes, send a snapshot"
(2) Ensure you have the most recent version of the app.
By tapping the settings gear in the top right corner, you'll see gray text just below the "Log Out" button indicating which version of the app your device is operating. The most recent version of EventBeacon is:
EventBeacon Version 3.2.1 (678)
If you are running an older version of the app, update it from the App or Google Play Store! There is a chance your issue was already reported & fixed in a more recent release of EventBeacon.
(3) Force quit EventBeacon and reopen it.
On an Apple Device:
-
To quit the app, open the App Switcher:
- On a device with Face ID, swipe up from the bottom edge and pause in the center of the screen
- On a device with a home button, double click the home button

(5) Delete the EventBeacon app entirely & re-download it to your device.
Before deleting the app, ensure you not in offline mode. If you delete the app while you are working offline, all of your notes & evaluations that are stored locally to your device will be lost. On an Apple Device:
- Touch and hold the app on the Home Screen
- Tap Remove App
- Tap Delete App
- Navigate to the App Store and re-download EventBeacon
On an Android Device:
- Open the Google Play Store app

- Tap the name of the app you want to delete
- Tap Uninstall
- Reinstall EventBeacon
